Some of us are planning on dinner at the casino Friday/Saturday night. All you can eat prime rib and king crab legs buffet for like $20. We will likely hit a local burger joint one day for lunch too. So, you can get by without bringing major food as there are places to grab a bite. The local grocery store is only 5 minutes from the site as well. I'm planning on bringing up a cooler full of beer & gatorade, some snacks to hold me over between meals, and grabbin' the rest while I'm up there.

Friday night the majority of us will be eating at Kewadin Casino for their really good Prime Rib and Crab Leg dinner buffet. We'll grab a good burger or popular local dish here and there but the majority of my meals are eaten at the camp ground on the extra full size grill of mine that Rob is nice enough keep store at this house transport up every year. :lol: Ignace is all we use that grill for. I generally allow everyone who is in our group to use that grill so long as they don't shit it up and they don't leave the propane running till it's empty. (that's happened before) This year Rob and I are doing all of our shopping the day before and bringing everything up. Brats, kielbasas, burgers, buns, cereal, milk, Gatorade, beer, booze, pop, steaks, veggies, sides, etc. We'll have enough to eat well all weekend and not spend a shit load of money by eating out and eating junk every meal.

I do NOT, and will NOT, shop for everyone. Sure, we will quite often share what we have, but I'm not anyone's mom/wife, so I'm not going to go shopping for you. Making the reservations, getting everyone together, bringing up the grill, firewood, propane, cooking utensils, plasticware, condiments, napkins, etc, is enough work on my part.

Also, LMFAO @ the comment about the snack box of chips and getting yelled at for eating from it. :roll: :lol:


Here are some things it would be nice if others could bring for once:

$5-$10 each for the fuel cost to transport up the firewood (buying wood there at $5.00 a bundle will easily work out to well over $20.00 per person for the whole weekend.)
Plasticware
Community snacks
Bail money
etc

Some of us are also planning an 1.5 hour drive to christmas in order to grill your own steak on friday. ive already heard ur feelings on this trip al, so im just saying this for anyone that wants to put a few miles on and enjoy the up (like we used to do when this whole camping weekend started up here...we can go to jackson and camp and drink)

The weather usually sucks but I keep going. And Christmas is closer to 2.5 hours, each way. Roughly 120 miles from our campground. The food there is so so. You eat up the majority of the day. Not worth 5 hours of windshield time.
