St. Ignace 2011...169 days away...

Oh, and don't worry guys, Rob and I will be bringing the firewood this year to save us all the really expensive cost of buying firewood up there at $5.00 a bundle. Mind you, those $5.00 bundle are usually good for roughly a 20 minute bonfire burn. All we ask is that everyone throw in a few bucks to pay for the significant difference in fuel cost for the 300 mile drive. Thanks.

Say what?! 2009 the ex I & brought a shit ton of wood up in the white F150 and no one chipped in for the fuel cost then. I say everyone else can throw in a few bucks...I've paid my dues.:893nana:

I totally agree. Cjmatt brought the firewood up last year, so I won't be asking him for cash this year either. Rob and I are able to do it this year because we won't be in tents and we won't have all the extra shit that goes along with tents to take up space. And this isn't the 1st time Rob has brought up the firewood.

And for what it's worth, gas in June of 2009 was less than $3.00 a gallon and had a yearly average of $2.34 a gallon. We're like 16 days out and diesel fuel (which is what Rob's truck takes) is like $4.25 a gallon. Also, you should have asked if you guys wanted gas money. :D And don't say I never did anything to save you some cash... ;)

It's not about the money, it never has been. In years past Rob and I have supplied the grill, the propane, the eating utensils, the plates, the napkins, the condiments, quite often the food, the firewood(while we didn't transport it, Rob still hooked the group up with it for free, loaded it, etc), and neither of us have asked for a dime. If $10.00 a person is too much for each person to throw Rob for the gas cost and time to bring the wood up, we can just not bring it at all and then we'll have 2 options:

1. stand/sit around a cold, fireless, empty firepit till the wee hours of the next morning (not fun)
2. we could all spend many times more that $10.00 each to buy the $5.00 bundles of wood they have up in Ignace.

Trust me, we're not loading all the wood and driving it 300 miles because it's fun and we like cramming our shit in all the small spaces left in his 1 last back seat (Joe is riding with us) and the rest of his 6' bed...mind you the pallet of wood is 4'x4'.

I'm saddened that I even need to make these points. Bit of a buzz kill.

I'd be very happy with that. I'd be even happier yet if we stayed in the high 70's to very low 80's during the day and high 50s to low 60s at night. Truth be told I'd be overjoyed if it was sunny and we didn't see a drop of rain all weekend :D

We're less than 2 weeks away, folks. As of this morning I only have 2 open sites still available. So If you still need a site, please let me know ASAP as I will be dropping these 2 sites any day now so that the park can sell them to someone else.

Nick, call me. There was a small booking change that happened this morning that you might want to know about...
