St. Ignace 2010...less than 90 days away!! WHO'S IN?!?!?!?

17 days and 5 hours until 8:00am that Thursday morning!

Hey, does everyone want to stop at Tony's on I-75 in Birch Run as usual? I could go either way and wouldn't mind stopping somewhere else. Suggestions?

that entire weekend is going to be a cheat weekend, but I'd rather not do anything outrageous. Then again, if Adam and I aren't leaving till about 2 hours after you, we may not even be near you for lunch. That's your call though.

Can we start planning some places to eat, attractions, and sites we plan on seeing? If we leave it to chance and play it by ear we'll end up doing a whole lot of nothing. I can do without seeing Taqu falls yet again.

Here are a couple links to I-75 related stuff:

Food: http://www.i75exitguide.com/food/michigan.php

Rest areas: http://www.i75exitguide.com/restareas/michigan.php (mile markers to meet up with people at, NOT reference points for rest stop gayness. )

Clydes Drive in for a Big C... it was on Diners Drive in's and Dives..
Where is it? I'm down for whatever.

No doubt! I'll be drinking and eating whatever I want all weekend. We'll see what time we get Rob's truck packed by.

If you want to play master planner, that's cool with me. I'm goin up with the "I'm along for the ride" mentality. Otherwise, it won't feel like a vaca for me.

Im going up there with My Truck, Harley and Dirtbike.. going to kinda play it by ear.. I guess Drummond Island is like Orv/Dirtbike Heaven.

My group will have 2 Alternative Auto Cobra's and Stock Mustang Gt.

Clydes Drive in is right in St Ignace on us 2 over across the Family Dollar and Glens
We can try that place while we are there. I was thinking more along the lines of places to eat on the way up to Ignace too.

I'm not a party planner. I was just hoping to get some ideas from everyone BEFORE we get up there.

I looked into the canoe trips and am all for it.
The 1-2 hour trip is $35 for a 2 person canoe.
The 4-6 hour trip is $41 for a 2 person canoe. The last departure time for that trip is 11:00am.

Shipwreck museum I have seen a few times as a kid. I don't recall it being real fun or interesting, but to each there own.

Ferry to Mackinac...Meh.

The Lighthouse cruise might be cool.

I'm also down for some down time at the sand dunes.

Any other suggestions, folks?
Outback sounds good Al.
Dude, we can eat that here.

Canoe trip is my top pick as well, and you can't go up north without spending some time on the beach! Hopefully others chime in - I'd like to have at least a tentative plan of attack.

14 days!!!!! :buds:

Im on auto pilot.. the days are Melting away!
Even though we have yet to meet, it's easy to pick you out in the crowd...you're the only guy walking around St. Ignace all day and night (even when the temps drop down into the 50's) who's walking around shirtless. How much weight did you put on this winter to need to drop 56lbs since January?

AL you may have to bring the grill up this year. LOL I Droped off the truck yesterday at the dealership they think it could be a the blown head gasket. Ford built a great 6.0 motor.

We can bring a grille if need be, there's more than enough room left in the diesel.
