St. Ignace 2008...who's going?

Are you going to attend the St. Ignace 2008 camping trip?

first of all... it was not the "girls of the group"s fault, as a matter of fact it was not even our idea or our suggestion. Caryn got blamed because it was her house, yet not her fault. the 4 of us left because caryn and adam had to sleep in the back of the van friday night because their sheets and pillows were wet. Caryn had one dry shirt in her entire suit case. and it would have been stupid to take clothes to the laundromat and stay when it was calling for more rain and everything would have gotten wet all over again. but thanks for the suggestion, maybe next year. We also did not leave baker without knowing if he had a place to stay or not. Johnny had a 2nd dry tent, and Brian & Renee also had a second tent, and if not, we would have left the big tent for him, because like you have said, he did pitch in for it. He had a dry place to sleep and a ride home, sounds terrible right? I dont see why its such a big deal. We didnt leave until 11pm and everyone was packed up and leaving by 9am (according to Renee) so that means we missed a total of 10 hours which im sure at least 5 of which were spent sleeping.
Also people were giving us shit about going to the Sioux... we invited everyone but people said no.. jeff had to get back and no one else wanted to go except for nick and amber. Why would we drive an hour to the falls, spend 5 minutes there, drive an hour back to sit in the rain at the campground and watch a cancelled car parade. you cant say we didnt invite anyone because nick & amber came with us. & also before we got back from the showers.. scuba & andrea were the only ones left... everyone else was already on their way to the falls without waiting to see if we wanted to go. we just happened to catch the last car leaving, hurry and get ready in the car and speed just to catch up with the rest of the group just before you all stopped for gas.
By the reaction of everyone, you make it sound like we were the life of the party and you couldnt have fun without us being there for the last 10 hours of the 4 day weekend. sorry to disappoint you all so very much. Everyone needs to be over it, its done and over with. all we wanted was to sleep in a dry bed, shower in a clean shower, and get a chance to go 4wheeling/fishing the next day for an hour or 2 before we drove home. we didnt do it to make anyone mad or leave anyone behind. everyone survived. honestly it kinda sucked sleeping in a tent with 4 air mattresses anyways. he was probably better off, drier, and had more room.

as far as i know we all had a good time... at least the 4 of us did for sure, so i dont understand why the 'so called drama' has to continue after we get home. it really isnt a big deal!

How the fuck would I know? I wasn't there to hear you snoring and I couldn't hear it from the south side of the bridge.

Hey, all I know is I had a great time and enjoyed hanging out with yall at the camp site. Everyone I hung out with seemed to be in good spirits (and generous too - thanks for the beer and sausages!!!). :D I'm sorry yall didn't have better camping weather this trip. I'll keep my fingers crossed for next year though...

hey this is Bryan, i met you guys up there with shannon saturday. i have a pic of bobby but i figured id see if there were any people that would be offended by him holding his nuts on somebody elses head lol. let me know any ill post it up. glad to meet you guys, ya'll seem pretty cool and layed back.

must not have gotten that memo huh?
 
all in all it was a good time. i personally could have gone with out a a couple of lil mishaps (the rain and the asshole who held an air horn to my head and pushed the button and im still kinda upset about the second one). i was able to take my truck up there and had no problems driving it there and back which is not bad for a truck that had the motor and trans out of it on last tuesday and it drove up on thursday. two of us that put our vehicles in the show took a top 40 trophy home(jeff and i). i didnt get any pictures due to me not having my camera so that sucked. oh yeah and my truck was getting around 17 to 19 mpg which was not too bad for a 425 horse v8 s-10 which was not timed and was running really really rich. all in all a good weekend but i too think it is the last year for tents and i think we are gonna go for the cabins as well next year. it was good to meet the new faces that came out as well.

Classy move on the part of the person who offered up my beer. :shake: I would have been happy to share my beer with you, I just think it's bullshit that someone offered up my shit when I wasn't there.

If you're talking about Miller Chills - I had like 3-4 of em in my cooler from my fridge :) He got the two I had left in mine from me :)
