Sooooo yeah. MM and this thread are slow today. :(

Is no one else amped as hell to be going to St. Ignace 1 week from today?

I'm sure a few people will be glad to be rid of me and my posts for 4 days. :D

Good. You'll be well rested to help me set up my campsite alongside Al! :D
Steps for my 'campsite' setup:

1: Insert key in door
2: Remove key from door
3: Open door
4: Close door
5: Drop duffle bag in corner

It seems complicated, but I think I can handle it. :D

Let's see. If leaving the 16 and Gratiot area and heading up to St. Ignace, Mapquest has this as a TOTAL for time and mileage...
Total Estimated Time: 4.0 hours 32 minutes Total Estimated Distance: 289.39 miles
If we leave at 9:00am and average 60 mph (have to take into account city drive to 75, traffic, piss break, trucks towing cars, etc) we should make the
Total Estimated Distance: 79.79 miles
drive to Tony's in Birch Run, in 80 minutes. Making our arrival time there 10:20am.

Let's say the POHO boys arrive on time at 10:30am.

If we eat and BS for 1.5 hours, we're at noon.

Taking into account an addtional
Total Estimated Distance: 210.23 miles
at 60mph average (again taking into account traffic, piss break, trucks towing cars, etc) we're looking at another 210 minutes, (3.5 hours) putting us at a VERY conservative arrival time of 3:30pm.

Ya think?!?

You read MM at work through a proxy server? If so, your employer must be a friendly place! Where I work, I hear people get fired over improper internet usage, which is why I have my personal laptop + sprint broadband card. :D

I camped like 2 years ago @ Mackinaw Mill Creek when I had the 68 in the show...it was great for leisure, horrible waking up @ 5:30 am and showering with bugs all around.

HOTEL FTW!

No I don't use a proxy. I keep my numbers up (consistantly #1 in my branch)and make sure my internet usage isn't an issue.

Perverse humor is nor merely reserved for you men. :icon_wink

Josh, don't forget to pick up that firewood tomorrow or Saturday! You still have my buddy's name and cell number, right?

Is the DNR ok with you burning big piles of wooden pallets on state grounds?

It's not a bunch of pallets. It 1 skid in each of 2 different trucks. Each skid is a pallet that has 1"x3" and 3"x3" boards (ranging from 8" long to 24" long) neatly stacked on it then wrapped in industrial plastc wrap. And yes, they are fine with it. I called and verified last year.

Here is what a skid of our firewood looks like...
