Spotted someone at Lapeer...

I have been to Lapeer when it hooked, but you can not expect it to consistently be sticky. Here is a picture in my old truck at Lapeer, 18psi on ET Streets.

Last time I was at Lapeer there was a lime green roadrunner in front of me.

He launched hard and I just watched dirt from his underbody dump on the track.

No wonder I could never hook!

old slick? those aren't the same ones that harlan and everybody else here used.
2 degree's
picking up some 28/10.50s tommorrow

Lapeer is always hit and miss with track prep.

One problem is they get people who drive on the dirt and then pull right up into line instead of using the return lane.

When my Vette was NA it was very consistent low 13's / high 12's regardless of which track I took it to.

Several times I felt Milan was worse.

After breaking down twice at Lapeer (black in the supercharger days) I've sworn off going to Lapeer altogether.

Some boards at the end of the track would be nice too.

I won't go there again unless I have slicks. Then they probably will come up with some bullshit tech rule why I can't run with slicks.

Larry come on man its been three years now....lets put her on a good tire already. Not some borrowed used ET street lets put it on a slick tire of hell even try the Mickey Drag Radial, but on 15" rim. That car wants to move.

lapeer.....tech.......if you have the basics your good at lapeer, if you show up with slicks they'll usually ask if you have a drive shaft loop. It doesn't go much farther than that.

If they get a bug up their ass they'll tech you until they find something to make you leave. It depends on their mood usually.

they don't like ls1's with slicks and manual trans. they know that its very hard to have a bellhousing with one

They did pave the return road, and the cars with slicks seemed to be working OK. The track does suck, but it's close. There was an 8 second car making a bunch of passes, but it was a big tire car.

Now that Ubly is closing, somebody should buy Lapeer and fix it all up, there's got to be a good market for a good track up here.
