WOW Ultra:
Keep in mind that numbers are just that - numbers.
1) Comcast uses speedboost - TEMPORARY higher cap and caching. You will not get 20Mbps download sustained.
2) Comcast is also well known for traffic shaping. e.g. intentionally slowing down BitTorrent and other P2P.
Not trying to 'rag' on em, but just understand there is more to speed than speedtest numbers. No point having a 20 Mbps download for everything but BitTorrent, which runs at 1 Mbps... which is where you need the speed.
Comcast must really hate you or the people you know. My torrent transfers get over 2Mbps for hours depending on my seed counts. If I am downloading a torrent that is new and from one of my legal torrent avenues for there product then I get that speed. If I am looking for something obscure and almost no one has then it is crap for sure. I have not seen any real changes in my torrent speeds. My upload is drastically better though. I have a max upload of 3 Mbits on those same downloads. But I try and cap it at 0.5 Mbits since It slows me down some.
