FIOS is fiber optic. I have seen speeds advertised starting at 15 Mbit down AND up. Usually, ISPs will not offer high upload speeds so you can't run a web, ftp, or torrent server.

that is what the at&t u verse is it ........fiber optic but only till 6mb its not great
comcast has shown to be higher.
