SpeedCal issues

Hey people, I recently installed 3.73 gears with a Dallas Mustang Speedcal on my 03 Mustang Gt, the install went smooth and the gears are working wonderful. Unfortunately though, the speedometer is not working correctly. When I get up to about 60mph my speedo reading about 12mph. I went through and rechecked all the connections, everything looks like it is set up correctly. Does anybody have any recommendations on how to get it working correctly? Thanks.

Unfortunately I can't help you will your speedcal issue but if you would have asked how to rectify your speedo prior to doing the gears I would have suggested getting a tune and having your tuner reprogram it. I know the speedcal is $100 so spending an extra couple hundred would have provided you with a lot more return on investment. Goodluck.

You have to adjust the dip switches in the speedcal box to your gear ratio, drive 10 miles and record the difference

What gear set are you running? Stock trans?

I have a PDF file that explains all the gear ratio's if you go from stock to whatever ratio it will tell you what dip switch setting.

I can't seem to upload to the site, if you give me your email I can send it to ya

i have the switches set the way Dallas Mustangs instructions have it set, at 1001001000 and the top set reads 1000000, stock was the 3.27 now it is 3.73s, on the stock 03 trans. Some people have mentioned something about a SpeedCal verses an extended range speedcal... i don't know what that means.

Extended Range is for installing a digital odometer trans(99-04) in a mechanical odometer car(pre 99)

I have a 6 speed in my 96 so I have the Extended Range

I looked on my PDF file and it says 0010010010?

Awesome, it seems to be spot on now, I will be doing a 10mile test soon, and will know before Gingerman next weekend. The settings you gave me are different from the settings in the Dallas Mustang Instructions, but everything seems to be working perfect now, thanks very much.
