spark but no fuel

Trying to help a friend here. The engine is a 2.3t, he's got spark but no fuel. Fuel pressure is good, will start if you us estarting fluid, but injectors not firing. Something makes me think the distributor, or hall effect sensor is not working, but I am not 100% sure. Engine is in a 32 Ford, has been this way for a few years, worked fine for a few years, now just quit this week.

Could be a number of things from the TFI module to a bad fuel pump. Are you getting injector pulse ?
 
Unplug all injectors and check the red wire on all injectors for 12V with the key on first of all. If that is present then next is to check the signal lines. With all the injectors unpluged, take a small 12v light bulb like a 194 style and bend the prongs so they plug into the injector socket and have someone crank the engine. If the bulb flashes then your getting the signal from the computer and the injectors are bad. If not then then either the pickup is bad or the ECU is shot. Before replacing any of those tho you should check continuity on all wires related to the pickup and injectors to rule out a bad connection.

that is a good idea, noid light is cheap, but if you are a super cheapie then yeah! the guy got it, said it had a injector relay that took a crap, wacked the relay and it was good to go, so sticking a new relay in.
