As if we had any question you would know about this.

A friend of mine (who is str8 btw) owns a production company and mentioned that they won't shoot anything real hardcore in Michigan.

Hey Joe.
*****************Give me a call*******************

Also, talk to Dana (my secretary) about One Source. She JUST got off the phone with them.

Twilight...did you go to the big interview thing this weekend? That's the one in Troy right?

My gf was there as well and got asked back for an interview...did some investigating and it's like $300 for pictures and $30/month. It's pretty much a scam if that's the one you're talking about.

A REAL modeling agency does not charge you anything...they just have you sign a conract that says they are going to get 20% or whatever...I have a buddy that is signed up with Top Model or something and he hasn't paid a dime...

Yea, that was it. I went to that and they wanted me to come back for a second interview.

I figure you have to pay for photos and a good photographer and prints will cost more then that. I believe they set that up for you and get you auditions and shoots in which YOU get paid and they don't recieve any percentage from your makings. Either way, even if they don't take money up front, they're still taking money. I see it as they're taking more if they take percentages, because thats a reacuring thing.

I have been checking the BBB and such, which they are a part of. I'll also consult someone I know who has had their kids in TV shows and commerials.

Thanks for the heads up, guys.

Wow, you really are ridiculously good looking, aren't you? With your chiseled abs and striking features...... Sorry, I couldn't resist!

What they do is collect your money and give the jobs they come across to models that didn't pay a dime...I'm not trying to rain on any parades either, but like monster said and like my buddy, if they are really going to get you gigs, they don't take a dime.

The $30/month and $300 is probably paying for the people they will actually get jobs...a good comp card and pics can be done for free with today's digital camera and photoshop type software...my buddy had his friend's mom take pics with a good digi cam and put it together and make copies for free.

If you really want to get into modeling, find someone who can take a few good pics, throw them on a comp card and be your own agent. Because that particular agency is going to do nothing for you besides collect your money and lead you on...

Taking a cut and asking for nothing is a much better deal than taking money and having the 'chance' of getting a gig...

I would talk with monster...if his gf does the stuff all the time, I'm sure he can ask her or know himself what places to avoid and what not...

That One source place sent those myspace messages to thousands of people and I've never heard of someone not getting asked back...it's a pretty smart marketing plan since everyone wants to feel 'pretty' and they know how to do that and butter you up before asking for the check...

Do what you want but I just went through this whole ordeal with my gf and she cancelled her 2nd interview after finding out the details...

True, you never have to pay anything to be a model ,(pictures or a book)..

These nonlegit places have people recruiting at malls and concerts and such with a clipboard.

I didn't want to burst your bubble either, but my wife researched this years ago, before we got married. She had some shots taken when she was 18 or 19 by a legit place, but the ones for fees are pretty much all a scam.
