Sonic Z update...

RIP

Lyle was so excited Wednesday when we went to diamond to pick the car up, he talked my ear off for like an hour about all the stuff that was changed even though he'd just told me a day before, lol. I hope someone can take it out and make it run that number for him

I hope so as well.

:(

(Please don't take this the wrong way) Does anybody know what is going to happen to his car? If his family wants to keep it, that is great, but I think we all agree that we just don't want it going somewhere random and getting trashed. If the family doesn't want it, maybe MM can find a way to hang onto it somehow and keep it to remember Lyle by?

i think thats a great idea. I'd be interested in working along with everybody on getting something figured out.

Or a raffle style donation giving the family more than the car is worth to help them through all this.

That sounds like a really good idea. (If the family wants to sell it.)

Like 100 bucks a ticket or something and hope we can sell a couple hundred.

The $100 bucks a ticket is a great idea. But isn't this kinda premature, and up to the family? Besides, I know his brother is into cars. He has a nice gen4 TransAm.

Matt-

That's what Lyle and I had, my Camaro was my first car from Highschool
That's how we hit things off so easy/well...

I don't know what they are going to do with it..
I will however say I will buy a bunch of tickets, or god forbid I would have to buy the car before I would let some random take it....

There was too much of his mind and heart in that car for his fam to let it go...

I am still so shocked by this I can't begin to tell you....

It's definitely up to the family. I'm glad to hear that his brother is into cars and hopefully will keep it in a place where it will be taken care of.
