We have my farther in laws van for sale asking 15k. Get a call tonite from a restricted # the girl ask if we would take 14k cash. Who has 14k on hand? Its been along time for me to sell a car what do you guys think??????? Thanks PS she gave us a # to call back and it went to voicemail.

I think it's fishy that someone would make that offer without even seeing the van. You can have bank transfers done from one to another.

I would just have them meet you st the local police department to do the deal.If its a scam they wont even show up to do the deal.

I do it all the time.....larger than 14k in many cases. I dont take checks....cash only. I do have the marker to mark the bills to check them, like the stores use. I bought it at Office Max or something like that.

Alot less chance of getting counterfit money, than a bad, bum or fake check (chasiers or not).

Yes, always best to have someone else around when dealing in larger cash deals. It just keeps people honest.

I had a guy buy my srt4 from albama in 12k cash well he paid the title off through a bank transfer then I met him with the car at the airport an finished up at a bk and off he went. He bought it sight unseen or test drive. I sent him a shit ton of pics an videos and talked to him every other day on the phone. I told him I would fax him a copy of my drivers license an eveything but he said he trusted me. It went very smooth he loved the car when I picked him up an dove it all the way back to alabama and had it retuned down there an was happy as he'll with the numbers it put down, called me an said "damn you were not shitting when u said 400/400" lol

The last car I bought the owner wanted to meet me at my bank and get the check directly from the cashier. It worked out fine and made him feel more better to see the check come directly from the bank. Might be an option for you.
