Someone to weld cast iron *** Help***

Looking for someone to weld cast iron out by Metro Airport or Metro Detroit area. Got a vise I'm trying to save. And yes I am cheap.
 
the older it is the more likely it will not hold...newer cast is a different beast, but I tried to fix some old cast radiators...then paid someone to tell me it cant be done.
 
Yup bad news there cast iron doesn't like to take welds. For something small sometimes you can v-groove it and MIG it back together or there are a few different rods that work decent for stick welding cast iron. The problem is the weld can be perfect but cast iron does not like to take the weld. So I dont know if it would hold up on a high stress part like a vise.
 
heat up the cast iron till its cherry red then run a stick weld across it , ive seen it done a few times and it held up

Guess it's time to move the buzz box out of storage and try this ^^^. Or just clean up the other vise and use it. Thanks for all of the help.
