I 100% agree with DeFormula. I bought my 1999 Corvette Z51 6-speed coupe in 2003 and have never regretted it. I drive it daily from Easter to November. Amazing performance, modern safety, reliability, and fuel economy. Classics are fun on an occasional basis (I drive my Cal-Look VW 500-600 miles/year): C5 are a bargain and do everything well.
 
An update...this fine cruiser sold a month or so ago for $6,000, so it turns out the $7,000 OBO was the right price to ask for this car.
