you need to go to a dealership bodyshop, when i was spraying at a chrysler dealership my helper made 13 an hour, plus i threw him a 100 under the table every paycheck! I was making 50% commision which equals out to about 30-32 an hour

my buddy works at an independant shop called "Custom Collision" it is just down the road from my work here in keego...maybe he gets paid a lot more then the average "shop bitch" ??

Wow..I work at a dealership and make well over $10/hour, of course we are on commision too.Collex is a great company to work for, I have a bud who started here at Cawoods as a estimator and is now a manager for Collex. Not sure what branch you work at 2low4u, but his name is Jason Gourlay.

How are you with matching metallics? Apparently mine has a pearl in it as well (factory color).

Besides mixing it correctly with the right variances, the spraying technique you use changes the flop of metallics and pearls. What kinda car you got?

looks good man, keep it up you'll get in a good shop, it takes a minute because they look at you like a youngin but show em what you can do! You gotta remember A LOT of painters paint with there rubbing wheels, only the good ones can lay down some clear!

Spoken with authority!!! I got a feeling you and I have a lot in common.

Well it's good to see that some of you are giving postive comments towards WCC. What do you guys think of Feris state? I was thinking about 2 years at WCC then transfering to Feris since they pull students from WCC and I've heard they also have a good welding program.

Excellent welding program from what I hear. My boy Ash is looking at heading up to Ferris. I am in WAF105 right now.
