but then again say if everybody knows his car goes 10.0s and i beat him i might lose a race with another car for 500-600 or more that i can beat that runs the same thing he does..im not gonna show what i have for less than that, and you dont have to put all the money up, dont you have people that bet with you? people say race for fun, well racing for money is fun, if i just want to go try my car out against others ill go to a test and tune day at the track, but if im risking tickets, and other shit on the street im going to make it worth the risk..

dont act like i aint had shit and am never going to have shit again... you had your shot for 2 years so i have reason to talk shit...and everytime you wanted to race for 20bucks... so dont say there isnt any truth in what i posted cause its all real... you got yourself a nice motor now, and hopefully you get it all set up, but you better beleive you will be getting a call this summer for sure, weather it be my car or somebody elses, you had your shot with my shit and you waited to long, now we will see whatsup

That's the attitude Dan and I are talking about right there. And that's why going to the eastside pisses me off sometimes. Everything is hush hush, who blows who. It cant just be fellow car guys hanging out, fellow street racers hanging out and bullshitting. Nope guns get pulled when someone doenst pay, and that crap I dont agree with. Yeah let me shoot someone over $300, $500, $5000. Thats bullshit. I wont mention people swerving into other people... Just not worth it.

what are you talking about, who pulled a gun on who? what are you talking about people swerving in lanes, shit happens when cars go fast they move around... the few years i have been down at the races ive never seen one gun pulled out, i see more fights going to the pool hall then i see at the street races...you think winning a race feels good, try winning a race and getting paid alot of money to do it, that is the best feeling... people can fuck around and make excuses why they lost a race for free, nobody is gonna throw away money to lose a race, that is how you know you get the best outta somebody... and nobody cares if you come to the eastside or not, stay where you are... and just cause people are hush hush about not letting you know where the races are, thats your problem, why would anybody want a bunch of spectators over there for nothing, people dont race to entertain you...and one of my favorite quotes ever, money won is twice as sweet as money earned...

I like the quote, but a paycheck has always felt better than a 100 from a lottery ticket for me. I dont gamble very much.

I will say this, the only race I got to see last year on the Eastside had atleast 500-600 people out to watch. So many cars and trucks trying to scurry around I would have said fugg that.

I agree, we do the same down here, multiple people throwing in on a race. I didn't say I don't play that game or it's stupid, I just said it's a lot to lose.

Sometimes it gets so crazy, I remember when jquick ran ave, I came around the corner and there was cars line up all the way around the cemetary. It was fucking crazy. Man that summer was awesome for racing, last summer kinda sucked, hopefully everyones got their game face on for this summer. I probably wont do much or any street racing with the monte, but if someone wants to lock in a track race let me know.

i have to agree with john on this the whole way :wink: and if i had a car like his,i would be the same way.i seen more shit happen on gratiot on the weekends(guns,fights....ect).the reason people dont tell people where there going to get a good paying street race off,#1 theres a 90% chance someone will spill the beans and there buddys will show up driving like they have 10 sec cars,doing dough nuts,bomming there radios...ect and then the cops show up.#2 its there cars and money,not ours.

I'll lock in a race at the track with you. When are you planning on being ready? Mine is running now, just have some loose end to tie up and she'll be ready to go.

As far as racing for big money....the way I see it, it just makes a fun thing even more fun. I will do it if I feel good about a race, but I'll run for small money too, especially if I don't think I have too good a chance. I only race at the track though.

I never said you didn't have a fast car. I did have my shot 2 years ago but 2 years ago I didn't have anything for you and you wouldn't give me any room. I know you are going to have shit again that is why I said I would lock a race in with you when you get your car done. I do like racing for $50 or $100 when more people chip in then we raise the price but thats all I am going to pull out of my pocket for a race. Just last year I lost $300 on a race. Maybe this year we will get some more races.

388Monte we are locked in for one at the track this year right?

I do agree the crowds get too big. I like racing when there are maybe 20 people at most. That is why me and Shaggy didn't race last year we went to one spot and too many people showed up. So we told everyone we were going to one spot but went to another but they ended up finding us anyway. We need take this over to NMRA so we can get X all worked up too.
