The only reason that call was made is because when the guy in the red tackled he elevated his foot to take out the guy in the white. On the other hand though if that kid took a phone call while on the field and he was on my team I personally would have beat the shit out of him.

The ref probably thought he just walked on the field without subbing in. That's the only reason I can think of for him blowing the whistle early.
