I'll go first....

I've been on vacation for a little over a week. I went to New Orleans for Jazz Fest. I've been down there a bunch and I've hit every big party down there except for jazz fest.

We drove down and on the way It rained so hard I was going 35 mph and felt that was too fast, finally decided to stop for the night and let the storm pass. So that was the first blow lol. Then we get down there 1/2 a day late. We rented a house and that was nice, but parking was hit or miss and we were pretty far from downtown, but close to a place we like to eat so that was nice.

First day at jazz fest, rained all day, lol. Outside in the middle of a horse track getting rained on. All the hippies were swimming in all the flooding! I don't think any of them realized it was a horse track, and all of that wasn't just mud.

Second day was pretty nice, sunny, warm and humid still muddy if any day saved it, it was this one.

3ed day.........

To this day, the worst rain storm I've ever encountered I've sat in a folding lawn chair, in a field under an umbrella. It must have rained 4 or 5 inches an hour for over an hour. I went from sitting in a grassy field to ankle deep in water in an hour. The lighting was crazy and the wind was unreal. Just as the rain ended Stevie Wonder came on stage and said, all of the electronics are wet and got ruined show was cancelled, and should seek shelter because of all the tornado warnings.

The only people I went for was Stevie Wonder and Beck lol. $60 a day per ticket, no refunds, no reschedule lol totally sucked.

As a bonus the window regulator broke on the X5 and dropped the glass in the door, I had to watch a YouTube video in a home depot parking lot then go buybthe tools and rig it all together in the craziest storm clouds I've ever seen.

I'd rate it 2 out of 10 would not recommend

Anyone else have just of fun or story?

We just had rain at the sand dunes putting a damper on riding...we had to slide around all of the puddles or just wheelie over them.......and cell service was bad?? ;)

jk...sorry to hear, some friends of ours had to leave the gulf shores area because it was major storms forecasted for a few days....they salvaged the trip with some nashville stuff.

My worse? Rented an apartment on AirBnB in Paris that was dirty. The view and location was great, got to watch the Eiffel Tower from our bed, but it was still dirty and had to find a place to buy sheets to cover up their sheets with.

Or maybe when I was down in St. Thomas for over a week, and the Jeep I rented was a POS. My ass was sore from sittin sideways.

Last year my buddy ran (his first marathon) part of a marathon and was pulled off the course at the 23 mile mark due to heat & humidity. He was supposed to run the Flying Pig in Cinnci on Sunday and less than 20 hours before his arrival the Air BnB he rented changed their mind so he had no where to stay.

During the Delta Pilot "strike" about 12 years ago. Flying home from Italy to Newark, then home to Detroit. While at Newark all the pilots refused to fly, Delta said it was due to weather in Detroit (BS weather was fine). The entire airport was a mess, All the luggage was stacked near the carousels. Basically we were stranded at the Newark airport (along with everyone else) after we just traveling 8 hour get there. All the local hotels booked except the really expensive ones. We couldn't get a one way rental car from any agency. I finally booked a bus ride home. Then a lady at Budget rental car took pity on us and rental us a car 5 minutes after I booked the no refund bus tickets. $80 gone.

Had to go back to the airport sort through piles of luggage to find our bags, never did get the box of (bottled) wine we bought in Italy.
Driving home from New Jersey, I can't make it in one trip had to get a hotel in the Poconos. Finally make it to Metro Airport the next day, on 94 pulling into the airport I get pulled over for speeding, of course I get a ticket. The entire trip was great until the point when we wanted to get home from Newark Airport to Detroit. Delta left us stranded with no way home. A week later in Traverse City we ran into a guy at the GT Resort trying to get back to New York having the same problems with Delta (no pilots to fly). He ended up getting a Limo to take him and his family home to NY...supposedly on Delta's dime.
