Im gna buy a newer car here in the next few months and figured I would ask some of you guys what you thought. I currently have an A4, but its got 180k on it, altho it runs great and I really love the car, I want something new, and with a lot less miles on it.

I've been looking at a ton of A4's and searching for an S4, but they are hard to find. I know a ton about the Audi's and what to look for and what not to look for... but was wondering about the WRX's... I know NOTHING about them... I have a few months before I want to buy, so I was hoping you guys could fill me in on some of the ups and downs of the WRX and what I should stay away from and the questions I should ask about them IF i go look at some.

Obviously I want AWD which is why I want to go Audi or WRX... I want a manual... and preferably black LOL! But, color really isn't important...

Also, if you guys see or hear of any good deals on A4's, S4's or WRX's lemme know.

Thanks in advance!!

Ya I know... when I bought my Audi in the first place I heard all about it on here... but, I dont wana hear about buy american... Show me an american car with the quality of an Audi, that comes in a 5/6 speed and has all wheel drive and still has over 250 horsepower, and gets 20+ MPG

WRX is, and can be a baaaddd mofo. I would personaly get a WRX based on the sole bad ass styling, capabilty, etc. Not to say an audi is a bad car, but I have read/heard much greater things about the subies.

Best of luck in all you do.

ya... I'm not really looking to go crazy with the mods on either car... I go crazy on 2 wheels these days... so, Im not opposed to small tasteful mods, but this will be a daily driver, so I want comfort, style... and NO WORRIES!!

Subaru all day. I love my STI, funnest car I've ever had. I've heard of Audis being nothing short of a nightmare, but I've never owned one so I can't really say much.

the subaru build quality is superb. I also love the look of the car and the sound of the engine. the specific year I bought had some minor flaws which I took care of.

join www.misubie.com if you are looking for a car, lots of people sell WRXs on there.

also check:

www.nasioc.com

lots of people selling really nice cars for their actual no BS value on there.

I've never heard of a subaru lasting less than 200k miles with basic maintenance. the subaru community is really close and strong. you can get great advice and tons of help from just about anyone.

CTS...even though I know you mean manual and not automatic you can still get a 6 speed, AWD and 300 HP with > 20 MPG

:thumbsup:You can show us new cars like that, but wheres the used $10,000 cars at guys? ;)

If I had the money, I'd be buying a Subaru Impreza 2.5RS for a DD in a heartbeat.

I did not see for under $10,000 in the post a I quoted. But I thought of that too while I was stating I knew he meant a 6 speed manual but he didn't actually specify.

STi swap a 2.5RS = win.

i'll throw a vote in for the Audi.. i was reallly close to getting one before i got this last truck.. i love the newer a4's

I like my Audi (B5 A4 Avant). I don't know if I'd be able to live with the interior in a WRX after having the Audi. Maybe look at a Legacy or something nicer in the Subaru line?

Edit: Mazdaspeed 6? I don't know if they are 10k though. TBSS as well, but again, not sure that they go for 10k.

I test rode (was helping someone buy a car, I never drove any but rode in all) some newer used Legacies and A4s. Both were real nice cars. We found a smoking deal on a A4 3.2L that would have been the car I bought (putting myself in the buyers shoes, personally wouldn't have been looking at these cars in the first place), it didn't have the warranty that the A4 2.0T that was purchased had though. The 3.2L was not Audi certified used and the 2.0T was, which was the deal maker there. Throwing out the ridiculously good deal on the 3.2L A4, I would have got the 2.5T Legacy over the A4, personally. All cars were autos in this though and I'm not positive, can you get a 2.5T Legacy with a manual? That was the only reason I didn't bring this up before, I didn't think you could but you may be able to. I really liked the Legacy.
