Had something similar. We have a corner where bushes go right to the sidewalk in a residential street. I stopped at the line, light was red for me, i just let the clutch out to creep forward to peek around the bush. Next thing i know here comes a guy on a bike flying into the street (telegraph) without even slowing down. I jammed the clutch back to the floor hit the brakes, but tag his back tire with my front bumper. Guy goes spilling on the ground skidding to a stop about 12 feet leter in the crosswalk. Jumps to his feet as i get out of my car to help him, picks his bike up, looks at me and says "I'm Fine" like a drunken sailer and runs off with his bike wheel bent and not rolling like his pants were on fire. Lilght turns green and like nothing happened everyone drove away, and the guy behind me starts honking for me to move. WTF is wrong with people....first the idiot crossing a 45MPH road without looking, and everyone at that light who saw him go down and didn't seem to give a shit! I don't turn on red at that corner anymore.
