SNOW

my employer is taking the safe approach .... They shut down everything !

There's rumors of my employer doing the same in the morning. Which makes a bit of sense to me since they can shut down the plant correctly with a "full" staff instead of people half ass figuring it out.

So far they've pushed back the snow back from 7AM to 11AM. So now it's just a waiting game to see the snow show up. Either way I've got the tractor ready to go. Gotta get some diesel to top off the heater for the garage.

I feel like I could probably watch the news for the first time in years because there will be no politics on TV.

Woodchuck Phil and snow, my kind of news.

Fox 2 local in the mornings is pretty politics free. Maybe 5-10 min segment. rest is fluff, food and weather.

Just started rain snow mix down here in The Pointes. Still 36 degrees though. Doubt we will even get a foot now.

Was raining a few mins ago, now smaller wet-looking flakes here north of Romeo.

My yard's got a lot of standing water....melting snow, rain, still frozen ground has it a mess.

In Blissfield (7 miles north of the OH border) I had 7” or so in the main part of the driveway but up towards the garage where it drifted it had to of been 14” or 15”.

I have 12" in most of my property, its 18" deep in front of the pole barn.

Winter sucks!

I haven't measured the depth of snow around my place yet but we definitely got a bit down here in Ohio. The John Deere got stuck a couple times without chains when I tried to push the top of the pile back to make more room. Fluid filled tires did help a ton. Can't decide if I want to build my weight bracket to add another 200 or so pounds to the rear axle. Thinking chains will help more than the weight at this point.
