Snow tires- which brand?

Haven't personally used them yet, but looking for some feedback on what you guys think from your experience. What's the best brand to go with? I'm thinking blizzak but also trying to find out what's the best bang for the buck.

Who's the guy to go to for tires these days? For sure need them for one car, but may end up getting two more sets if I can find a good enough deal

Looking for a 235/55r17
 
Blizzak WS70's on the wifes Caliber... 6 cold seasons on them so far and still look great. They are on for about 5 months a year.

Duratracs on the Hummer... 55k on them, still look good!!

Tirerack reviews are usually good in my opinion if you want mass opinion.
 
Using Firestone winter force on my ST. Mild tire. Have yet to use them in significant snow.

Got Hankook i-Pikes on the wife's fusion. Great tire for the money. I believe the Blizzaks were more expensive when I was looking. Had Firestone Winterforces on wife's old Mariner and didn't really care for them. They were awesome on snow covered roads but on dry roads they had horrible road manners. Grooved pavement was almost scary.
