Snap on, Craftsman, Matco, etc

99% Craftsman, here. And the best part, most of my tools were given to me new as gifts. Free quality tools = WIN!

Ya, like 60% of so of mine were. And I've got the 40" top and bottom professional boxes full :icon_mrgr

I got bored one day and figured I have about 11k in tools. Doesn't seem like it's that much but I have aquired all of it over like 8 years now

If you break a regular SnapOn socket with an impact gun, the guy will know better and won't warranty it.

I've never had a problen with a warranty issue, most of the time the Snap-on guy breaks it worse than I did just to make sure it will be warranteed.

If you break a Craftsman socket, they'll give you a new one no questions asked (because they can't tell the difference). I have mostly Craftsman stuff because it's affordable and Sears is everywhere.

Have you heard the K-mart commercial on the radio where they said that they're carrying Craftsman tools now?

If you buy alotta stuff, they will warranty it. If you don't buy tools from them, most likely not. but that is the same for snap on and mac, and matco

I have a bit of everything but mostly Craftsman.

I found out the Snapon wrachets are far better than the Craftsman. I would replace the craftsman about every 6 months cause they stripped out inside. I got sick of busted hands and got the Snapon one with the plastics handle and been using the for 2 years trouble free.

I have all snapon
few bad things about them though
the wrench shanks are sharp and cut into your hands.
the rachets under high load will snap back to the opposite direction when the bolt breaks loose

Haven't bought any new snap-on tools in about 8 years.
My father was freinds with the snap on guy that came to GM so I got them cheap.
My box is just a clunker craftsman.
I have craftsman tool at home though

I have a equal amount of Craftsman and Snap-on. I like the Craftsman price but, you just can't beat the quality of Snap-on. I have yet to break a Snap-on anything. I do have a few K-D wrenchs and some Mac stuff.

Not big on the craftsmen stuff becuase it tends to strip bolts/nuts like most of the cheaper tools out there.

I never had a prob like that when working with craftsman tools, I did once use the chrome sockets in my impact and hit it while in my hand and gashed my hand open from the chrome pealing :laugh:

Thats not true at all. If it Says Snap-Op on the tool and can be directly identified as a snap-on product they will warranty it without so much as a single question. Just keep an eye out for a snap on truck and jump in when the door is open or grab the sales rep. For a while when i did roadside services I would go find a rep and have him warranty a tool without ever meeting me no questions asked.
