Hey Danny, I went and checked it out today. The dragstrip is a brand new formica track, freestanding. Talked to the guy for a little while, I think his only downfall is gonna be no racing for money, bragging rights only.

i tihnk the guy is gonna have a hard time keeping people coming to race nights if there is no payouts, but i guess it would also keep people from entering 30 cars in 1 race lol

Hi all, I'm new to this forum, in fact I just found it tonight. The new track on Dix in L.P. is open. I checked this morning while in the area. I haven't done any slot car racing since a couple of tracks opened in Garden City back in the 80's.
Since I'm big fan of NASCAR I'm going to get a car. I can't remember all the details of the various classes raced, but I think there is a class using lexan type bodies with a sealed can motor, a similar class but using plastic NASCAR model bodies and unlimited classes using the lexan bodies and the plastic bodies. I'm not sure what the drag racing classes are, and I believe the hours are 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
