Slave Labor?

Someone would have to be INCREDIBLY lazy to turn down 25 an hour to collect a massive 370 a week in unemployment compensation.

Why are you getting so little? Before taxes you should be at about 780, if they are taking 230 every two weeks in taxes you are getting screwed.

Most people out there would kill to make $25 an hour. Maybe he lived far beyond his means on his previous income. I see that quite a bit in my line of work. If people arent getting overtime, the repo man comes a knockin and the bank wants their McMansion back.

i quit my union job 2 weeks ago, ill never work for teamsters union again!

so is there still positions available?? lol

Maybe he had some kind of cash side job to suppliment that unemployment check....hes still an ass though
 
There's a place up here looking for skilled machinists, welders, etc, and they're only starting at $10 an hour!

But they're bitching that they can't find any good workers.

Problem one is they need to pay $15 for a 'skilled' job. You can make $10 an hour at Applebee's or Wal-Mart. Problem two is people are on unemployment and won't take the job. You can get hired at Nexteer for $13/hr and you don't need any skill to work the line.
