skiing/snowboarding @ Mt brighton

Went this morning, unfortunately, we won't be back. Hoped that the new ownership would make for an awesome day, but it didn't.

Problems...

- Not all the lifts open, today is suppose to be the most snow we've seen in a while, why are you working on 1 lift, and 2 of them aren't even running.
- Ski Patrol training. Like 5 or 6 groups of at least 8 people, all over the mountain, stopping constantly, in the way. Do this on the week days not the busy 2 days of the week.
- More then 100+ kids taking ski/board school. I understand that this is a necessary evil, but have a limit, or do something, the fact that all the chair lifts were being used by either ski school or ski patrol, made the lines ridiculous.
- Go into the nice new bar/grill, Owe we are out of 75% of our menu. And the satellite dishes are out because they are covered in snow... who the hell thought that would be a good idea... Get lots of snow, bring in lots of customers... but lots of snow makes using our TV's inoperable.

If your into the terrain park, that's the place for you. Looking to carve up the mountains... find another place.

-end rant.

There are several different type of passes you can get:

just a Mt Brighton pass, EPIC pass (good out west) and another pass that includes the european resorts.

My 13 & 15 year olds have gotten very good on their snowboards,
but have never hit the resorts hills. What would cheap "lift tickets"
at Mt. Brighton cost?

I was there on Sunday, and all the lifts were running. I probably won't be back either. I'm not a park guy, and a good 60% of the runs have been converted to terrain parks.

Other than teaching my daughter to board...I won't waste my time around here. You spend 85% of your time in a line or on a lift. And the 15 seconds going down aren't worth it.

Sounds like you spend more than half the time not going down the hill.. It's hard to ski here after getting spoiled out west with big mountains and good snow/powder.

Exactly. I only rode four days all last year...all in Utah, one day all backcountry. Knee deep pow that never ends.
You get more experience in one day out there than you do all season here.
Worth every penny.
