Sitting @ Flint Bishop Airport

Sitting @ Flint Bishop Airport and only about 5 people here...Only one in the security line and all of the TSA people were pretty relaxed. Quite a change from Detroit...

Never flown out of there and always debate it depending on where I'm going.

I always try to fly Bishop. There have been times that the TSA line has been out to the escalator though.

Working just down the road from bishop. Watching the planes fly over us... bishop is always easier and more relaxed then detroit....

Bishop flies 1/3 the people.

I came home and there were only 40 people on the flight from Midway......

Trivia about Bishop Airport...when they build the new terminal, the main contractor was told he needed more local minorities working on the job.
So he hired one to install the carpet. One giant roll of the specially designed carpet was missing, thousands of dollars worth. Someone paid a visit to the office of the minority company and guess what was lining the floor of the whole office a few weeks later. Yep, the stolen carpet.

Bishop is so much nicer and very small... We used to grab the flights there to Chicago every year. I don't fly to much now :thumbdn:

I've flown out of Bishop several times. If you can get a non-stop flight it's okay. Comparing Bishop to DTW is a bit silly. Entirely different animals.
I recall a flight to FL that left out of Bishop and had a short layover in Detroit. Yeah, we missed the connection in Detroit.

The employees at the AirTran/Southwest counter do a great job. I wonder how long Allegiant Air stays in Flint.
