sierra denali or cadilliac escalade EXT? which would you rather drive??

nice lookin truck.. i almost traded my SS for one when i was getting rid of it.. till the guy backed out..

the nav doesnt have the dvd so im guessing il have to buy one..il see if i can get the dealer to give me one...im guessing they will...being an 2008 do i have to have a nav cd in it all the time?

The nav dvd should go in behind the headunit (the headunit tilts open). It's a different slot than the music/movie dvd's so you keep the nav disc in all the time and can still use the regular dvd player.

At least that is how it is in my Enclave, but I assume that GM stuck the same nav headunit in all of their vehicles.

If I remember correctly, to tilt it open you need to navigate through the on-screen menu to find the eject option. There is no button that you physically press like there is to eject the regular cd/dvd.

Nate - DVD Nav discs are specific for that make/model/year. Through the dealer they are HUNDREDS of dollars... Thats why people at dealerships/auctions usually steal them and resell them - the fuckers...

Ebay this one: 20861673

It's version 5.0 of the nav disc. Should work for your truck

Or, check torrents - I've heard they have been popping up on there lately and burn your own nav disc. :)
