Side job.

If anyone is looking to make some side cash this week in the Westland/Livonia area, I need a starter, sway bar link, o2 sensor, and a mystery radiator fan issue taken care of on a 97 Chrysler town and country with awd and the 3.8. Pm me for info etc....
Thanks,
Tim

Is it something you can drop off or do you need it done ASAP?
The car is currently at her work. I am going to try to get it started tonight and may end up doing the starter there. If I can get the damned thing started I can limp the rest of the problems along till the weekend but would need it back Monday With us working the same hours but 20 miles apart we gotta have both through the week :-(

Beat me to it...
Better to replace them while your down there...
Yeah the links and bushings are notoriously bad in the older Chrysler vans. Kinda wish I'd have done the bushings when I did the link on the other side. Oh well. Lol

The fan issue is more then likely the cooling fan relay. Chryslers are notorious for those. Your other issues are easy to fix, but the cooling fan will probably require some troubleshooting

Yeah the fan is going to be an issue. Like I said I'd replaced the relay back in April. Although it is possible that it failed again seeing as I neglected to use any kind of thermal grease or clean the frame rail as I didn't realize how important these two things can be. The sway bar link I can do but am choosing not to as I do not have the proper tools to cut the old one out. I did the other side last year and it was a pain trying to cut it out with a grinding tool. As for the oxy sensor, I want no part in that lol. If I can get the car moving tonight I will have autozone pull the codes from the cel and will report back. Thanks!

Ok so a couple of gentle taps to the starter got her running and home. Will see about the other stuff. I'm feeling ambitious but will prolly still pay someone to do the sway bar link and oxy sensor.

Ok so got the new fan relay in and the fans are a spinnin! LOL Anyhow, at az the gave me a misfire in cylinder 5 code not an oxy sensor (coulda sworn that was the code before) I still need the sway bar link done over the weekend and maybe diagnose the misfire and or a tune up which I am sure it needs. If anyone is interested or can shoot me a quote for the link and a tune up please get in touch!
Thanks Again!!
Tim
