Someone commented on the orange peel in the 5.0 badge area. Yes, new cars have a lot more orange peel than yesteryear. Started noticing it a lot around 2000-2003ish on GM's Hummers and Pickups, Dodge Pickups ect... I think Ford still has the best paint jobs on most vehicles. My 04 Cobra's orange peel is pretty bad, but my Dad's 2007 Shelby is much better. The new F150's are pretty good in some colors.

It's tough when I spray a couple panels on these late model cars because I do too good of a job. I spent years learning how to lay paint nice and smooth, now I gotta learn to just make it look like shit to match the rest of the car. For example...we're fixing an 09 Focus right now. Spraying the whole left side. The factory paint is absoluetly terrible. Inconsistent from panel to panel, there are actually light runs in the truck. Very poorly painted car...

No, I don't like the look of the entire thing painted. I never believed it, but those panels being black do slim the look of the car. I've seen it painted and the car looks really tall, something I don't want.

Ordered the shift boot from the GT500 today. Black Alcantara with white stitching, should match the interior pretty well. Also waiting on a Corsa X-pipe as well.

Your car looks fantastic. Love the wingless look. Wish I could have ordered that on my Shelby. Those GT wheels look great as well. Nice tasteful mods too. Totally dig it!

Got my shift boot today, found out it won't quite fit over the shift lever on the GT. Also found out my X-pipe FINALLY shipped today after a week delay for some unknown reason.
