What is the best stuff to use for a high traffic shop floor? I see alot of pics and alot of brands but don't know how they stand up in the real world.Need to cover approx 2000 sq/ft.

Thanks, That's the stuff I was planning on using. It will be costly as I need to do 2000sq/ft and all the prep crap. Anything else out there?

u coat it on woodward is the only stuff i would recommend. its water base, so you wet the floor down before applying the first coat, this seeps into the concrete to make the first bonding coat. any other epoxy paint will peel up if you have a drop of water on the floor while applying the first coat. will post more later. pics-rich

I looked at that stuff, but due to the size it will be very costly (not ruling it out as I don't want any peeling or chipping). It it's better then most other stuff then I'll use it, anyone have any connections there or accounts setup?
pics are very helpful. My friend used some industrial 2 part epoxy and barely uses his garage- the white has turned yellow and the shiny black is faded alot (still looks good but not as good as when new)

I used u-Coat it on my garage with the clear coat and it cost just under $1,000 for almost 900 sq ft. I used it due the the moisture we get coming up through the concrete with season changes/ heating. The other stuff will end up peeling due to the moisture. It might be more the first time, but after it starts peeling you have to sand the entire floor back down before recoating.

my friend used the U-coat-it on his garage, it has worked great. and the only messed up part is where he parked his car in the garage the first time (before he was supposed to) and his tires pulled up the clear but that was his fault, not the covering...other then that it's great. my neighbor down the street did it when he did the addition on his garage and he has had no problems as well....i will be doing it to my garage when it warms up some!

The epoxy is definately real good stuff. You just gotta get over the pricetag. I'll either be going with that or the Sherwin Williams Armorseal when I get my new garage built this fall/winter. It all depends on what's left in the checkbook around then. But I'll probably be U-coat-it.

And as for the slipperyness of it, I think I'm gonna buy one of those rubber garage floor mats and slice it down the middle, and put it along each side where we get out of the cars to stand on.
