Shipping Advice

Hi folks,

I just sold a set of wheels and tires. I need to ship them to the buyer. Any advice on the most economical way to do this/where to go? Thanks folks.

Would a Uber or Lyft deliver the wheels to his house from the shipper?

I'm sure they would for a price but at that point I'm not saving anything I don't think.

How should I package them so that they arrive undamaged?

Cheapest I found was usps at nearly $100 per wheel which is double what I charged for shipping. Any suggestions?

fed ex or ups. do not use usps for wheels. they are not set up for it and over charge

double cardboard the face and then tape it on and then saran wrap the whole thing

Back in the day I bought a set of wheels from Maryland and I had TAJack pick them up when he was making a car pickup - he advertised in Hemmings and ferried cars around the country for a living. Maybe you can find a small hauler like that who can deliver them for you for a $100 or something if they are already heading out there.

On an off-topic note - does anyone know what is up with him? He hasn't been on here in a decade.
