Shipping a hood scoop

I've got a scoop cut out from a hood with inserts, all boxed up its 49inx38inx12in and weighs like 20 lbs.

Never shipped anything this size before, UPS/FedEX want 160-170.

That sound about right?

It is huge though, they pick what is worse, weight or size. That package could weigh a whole bunch more at the size it is and the price wouldn't change probably. The size is killing you there. The price still seems high even for a huge package but I haven't done much shipping in the last couple years.

Greyhound. I actually shipped a fender and a hood from a 72 Chevy truck. Just buy the part a ticket and kiss it good by!!

yes we ship alot at work try greyhound or Indian trails ......Indian trails is usually cheaper
