Shelby GT800R Photo Shoot - Photos

Rick who did the Cage?

Skinny Kid

How many of thses will be made??

Probably just this one. It was the customers idea to call it GT800R, then we just made the plaques for him.

so what kind of trouble did he get in at the end of the video?

He explained that he was here from out of town picking up the car and the track was closed. They also noticed on his license that it was his birthday and said it's bad enough they have to worry about young kids driving like that, let alone a 40 yr. old man and let him go.

Very bad ass...Nicer even seeing it in person at the Wallis Tech Center.

BTW Rick, I thought I recognized your name from somewhere. This is Kevin from Lawrence Tech's Formula SAE team...

Rick, that car is awesome! But I was wondering how you guys made so much power on 72lb injectors? I'm not saying you didn't do it, I'm just saying that's way more power than I've ever heard of from that small of an injector, especially on a blower car that loses power from having to drive the supercharger. Is that mod motor that much more efficient than the 8.2 deck stuff?

Any thoughts on this?

Dan,

This car has twin pumps, with a Boost-A-Pump and I know it's not close to being out of fuel.

I know our ProCharged 2005 made nearly 800 RWHP with 70's and it wasn't out of injector either.

We had a customer with a 4V that made over 900 RWHP on the Mustang Dyno with 83 lb injectors.
