I thought cars were the most expensive hobby til I saw how much paintball and things like that can add up.

During the spring/summer I play nearly every weekend whether my boys can come with me or not. Winter 08/09 I played ZERO times.
Too busy, pregnant wife, etc. Winter 07/08 I played every 2-3 weekends. There are indoor places, some are better than others. And yes, it adds up FAST. I don't dare add up everything I currently have into paintball...nor what a year of paint and field fees cost me. :lol:

I figured you played less when your wife was pregnant, but at least you will be able to play this summer more.
I was outside once standing next to this car and this guy in the office shot a paintball on the car I was standing next to. Scared the livint SHIT outta me, but I was pist off, because if he my ass...like in the eye....I guess I wouldn't be doing a whole lot after that. I freaked out on him, I guess he didn't use his head before pulling the trigger. :rocketwho

You have no idea. And it's not like the spending stops after you're fully outfitted. Like a car, you keep going bigger and better, and seldom sell off the stuff you already spent money on. Plus, Paint is anywhere from $25-$60+ a case, (case = 2000 balls) It's VERY easy to go through a couple cases of paint in a halfway decent day of play. Plus there's the field time you have to pay for...plus the fee to bring your own paint vs buying the field's WAY overpriced paint, plus the fee for air fills, etc. Plus travel, gas, hotel stays for larger games, etc. You would not believe how fast it adds up. :shake: There's more money tie up in those two toys guns than many of the members here have tied up in their collection of real guns. Sad..I know. The good news is that I get to use those a lot more than everyone here combined gets to use their real guns...and I don't go to prison after I shoot people.
And yes, it's a riot! :rockon:

Either hobby can get expensive. You just never stop adding/modding like Al is saying below.
I was PIST. He fired it at the car I was standing next to...but that is no excuse. I'm sure the gun he bought was cheap, so it prolly was not very accurate...hell...neither could he have been very accurate, so a little to the left/right/up/ down direction....I could have lost an eye, ear, etc...I yelled at him, but of course he just laughs...:shake:
