Sewer drain pipe replacement from house out to curb? Who does it, Ypsilanti Twp?

Probably that time to seriously look at getting the sewer line replaced, or "lined" at my rental in Ypsi, every few years "roto rooter" will cut the roots out and it's fine, but then say "pipe isn't going to last much longer"........ So I've been on borrowed time the last 10yrs or so.

Who does it? Reasonably priced.

Ypsi Twp, out by Ford lake, Gault Village area.

I dont know if i would do all that based on a rotorooter comment. Maybe the cost is cut way down if you do this before it all collapses in on itself? :) Goodluck! This is a big scary deal for homeowners. I heard a story of a $6,000 turning into a $30,000 job....i passed out before hearing the ending....

It's a 2-3 year cycle of getting the roots cut out. I'm ready to get estimates on a permanent solution. Risking basement flooded on a partially finished room.

Redford? Somewhat need this done as well in a rental we have...Curious if he goes there? I guess I should call as well.

Trying Plumbing Professors. http://www.plumbingprofessors.com/ They were recommended by that guy who used to do the radio home improvement show back in the day (Glen Hagey or something). I hired them to re-line the sewer line on my house in Pontiac before I moved. I think it was around $3000 for 50 feet of lining. He said they could dig it up too if I wanted. Best part was that they came over with a Camera setup and showed me the pipe and where it was going to stop and start from.

Funny you say that, they've already been out and working on an estimate.:cheers:

Some good news for me. YCUA came out and "camera'd" the clean out line for free? new service they offer. I called and asked if they'd check the main at the street to make sure it was clean cause I'm having issues.

they said my pipe looks good :naughty1: no breaks or misaligned joints, just roots at the joints that can be maintained with an annual clean-out
