I'd like to introduce myself since Ive been lurking for few weeks here. My name is Alex, I'm 22, and have been a tech at my Dad's shop for about 8 years. I know some of the members here from various meets, Telegraph, Woodward and Xceedspeed.
I own a Green 93 Nissan 240sx with a LS1/T56 swap Ive built ground up by myself. I picked the engine/trans up from Tim @ EADperformance. I then pretty much pioneered the swap in my chassis. If you look on LS1tech there is about 20 cars being built also identical to mine.
I guess I someone had to pave the way. I spun a rod bearing while on Woodward and I rebuilt it
myself with the help of the net and a handbook. It laid down 429Hp/385TQ with stock ported heads an F14 cam and minor bolt on's with a stock LS1 intake and TB. As of now it is sitting in my shop being backhalfed with a custom 4 link frame and built Ford 8.8. I am shooting for High 10's with a 1.4 60" on 325 M/T Drag Radials. :icon_mrgr If anyone has any tips/handbooks/sites to help me backhalf this thing it would be ALOT of help.
I know LSx engines like the back of my hand since the swap. If anyone is in need of help or input I'd be more than willing to help. I also do alot of driveability diagnosis and wiring so I know alot of the common problems and how the big 3 run their powertrain.
Please don't get me confused with the typical Ricer because I'm not. I'm far from it and my car is not what you would call... Normal. I am starting to get sick of the asshats, ricers, loyalist, morons and thieves on Xceedspeed. I hope to meet all of you sometime, maybe at the track this season I know I'll enjoy my stay here, right at home with all my 8 cylinders :icon_mrgr Sorry for the long read.
Here is how my car sounds
