I won't be there for SEMA unfortunately. Gotta fly back early. :( But I've been a few times in the past, and it's probably the coolest car show you can attend.

Online registration for the SEMA Show closes tomorrow, Friday October 13th, so click HERE to register, saving you some time and $35.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the SEMA Show, and it’s shaping up to be better than ever. With a record number of new products, 1,200+ first-time exhibitors, 1600 feature vehicles and a million square feet of exhibit space, you’ll find more opportunities for your business there than anywhere else. Also, an unprecedented collaboration between Ford, GM and Daimler/Chrysler-Mopar will result in a unique celebration of The American Muscle Car, showcasing muscles past, present and future models.

If that wasn’t enough, industry experts will be sharing their secrets to success, and you’ll have opportunities to connect to movers and shakers at SEMA’s networking events, like the New Products Award Breakfast, hosted this year by Carroll Shelby and Alex Xydias.

Don't miss out, click HERE to register now.

See you in Vegas.

Also it is not really a car show. It is a manufacture (product) show.
Specialty Equipment Manufacture Association
The cars are only there to show off product.
It is usually also part of what is now the APPEX Show.

if you've never been SEMA is a sight unseen... definately do not listen to anyone if they tell you to wear anything other then comfortable tennis shoes. it's a hell of alot of walking, took me a week to recover from all of it. i highly recommend bringing a book bag. do not wear a shoulder bag or any other type. they have the typical bags you get at the autoshow but a halfdays time and they fall apart.

pros- every manufacturer you could ever want to see is there. all of the next hotest magazine cars are there before they hit newstands. night time is insane if you happen to attend any of the company parties. if you get the chance try to check out the ghost bar and anywhere some of the major magazines throw a party.

cons-easy to spend money, getting food takes some time so try to go before or after the rush, transportation sucks as well if you hold out til the end of the show.

one time it was so busy i had to walk back to my hotel which took me almost an hour but i would have stood even longer waiting for the bus or a taxi. i have no idea what they put in the air but you'll find it very strange how easy it is to go to be with little sleep and wake up just fine.

my new place of work is putting a couple of cars into it but i wont be able to attend the show unfortunately due to me being there only two days so far
