screen on my phone blacked out?

i have an htc evo and all of a sudden when i was texting the screen went black but it stilll has power,the 4 butttons on the bottom light up,,anyone had this happen??anyone here on motown repair phones?

pull battery, hold the power on button with battery removed for 15 seconds, reinstall battery, turn on phone and update thread.

that didnt work,,mind you phone has never been wet,dropped, hell there isnt even a scatch on the phone, also i dont have insurance because of a $150 deductible

Take it to a sprint store and have them fix it. If your paying the TEP $8 a month its no cost. If you don't its gonna be a $35 fix. They should have an LCD for it in store.
