Drop out of school Help my mom keep the House......Stay in school lose our house and prety much everthing we own...

FUCK I HATE THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!!

i'd rather live in an apartment than have the kid drop out of high school. houses come and go, i'd rather you didn't have to get a GED. your mom should feel the same.

Sometimes in life you have to go backwards to go forward.

The answers are in the details which I wouldn't share on a public board

Stay in school bud. This is your last year right?

Yep last year...But heres the kicker about my school....You get 8 sick days for school...If you have 8 in 1 you lose you'r ALL OF YOU'R credits for school. and for some reason i have 6 sick days already...and i haven't even got my first report card yet. and they WILL NOT go back and fix the days i have a docters notes. so eather way im fucked

6 sick days used in under a month? Barring a catastophic illness you shouldn't have a problem only missing two days the rest of the year honestly. If it's a problem waking up, get another alarm clock that is louder. If your not feeling 100% it shouldn't stop you from going. If there is some other circumstance get it worked out so it doesn't stop you from getting to school.

man talk to a school administrator and get that stuff fixed, if you have the doctors notes get it done, you definetly do not want ot drop out. It's hard enough to find a decent job without a college education, how do you think it will be without a high school diploma? It sucks that your going through a tough time, but things have a way of working themselves out.

Stay in school. You will go nowhere in life if you drop out. Hate to sound like a dick, but its true. The success rate of a drop out is very low. If you want the rest of your life to mean anyhting finish highschool and go on to college. Find a way. But when I was 17 I knew it all too, lol.

Yea you guys are meaking a lot better of me to make my choice about school...and i really thank you for it. I'll just bite my toung but its going to be really hard this year. Go in monday and see what i can do about all this stuff

Yeah man definitely don't be afraid to talk to anyone about it. Go in to the admins office, and talk to anyone you can that can help you out. That is what they're there for. Good luck!

Are you currently working??
When I was in high school, I was able to get a job and get work co-op and they let me out half way through the day I think about 2 hours early to go to work plus you get credit for it.
Find a job with a flexible schedule, get the work co-op and that could help you out some.
If you need a job, PM me, I can always use another co-op (or regular) employee.

I don't know I only missed 3 days in 4 years of high school and 2 days in 10 years of work. Shouldn't be an issue.

Don't be a fool, stay in school

checked and replyed...And i thank you guys very very much for careing about someone as much as you guys do..Motown is like a second family to me.This is why i share SOME of my personal life with you guys.It means alot to me. I will keep you guys posted on how it all works out

Like Nate said go talk to your principal or some of the administration people. Theres no reason they shouldn't be able and willing to help you.

Also, not to belittle your situation but it really isn't as big a deal as you're making it out to be. I know it sucks being where you're at, but I've been through it all myself. I've lived out this way with my Mom and brother since 1st grade. We've lived in everything man. We've been in a trailer, a handful of apartments, condos and a couple of very nice houses. We've been on both sides of the rich/bankrupt line. With my Mom being a single parent (and I think yours is too) it makes the monitary situations quite tricky since theres only one income. We're doing much better now. However, dropping out of high school isn't going to help anything in the long run. You may be able to keep the house you're in for now but what about later?

you can do nothing better for your family (and yourself) than to build a solid future for yourself, and that starts with your education. That's a cliché for a very good reason. Take a part time job if you'd like, but school is your priority. Take it from a HS dropout who's now in college...

btw what happens if your family loses the house?

Like everyone else has said finish school, get ride of the house and get a cheap apartment. Things might be tough but if you don't finish school you can look forward to the rest of your life being tough.
