I did not see this thread. Sorry about your luck man. At least nothing bad happened, but keep an eye open since they live near you.
Doing something to you would be one thing, but the fact that your girl was with you too....even scarier!!!!!!! What if they saw her, and said the hell with you...and told her to get out of the truck?? God knows what would have happened then.
It is scary out there. Look at the 21 year old who was at Quizino's at 10 mile and Gratiot. He got kidnapped in his own car and taken down to 7 and Gratiot where they shot him and left him in an abandoned house. :WTF:

Negative, its pretty obvious the guy was gonna do some bodily harm to him if he got out of the truck. But if he shot the guy running towards his truck that just left the guys two buddys as witnesses. If the guy running at the truck didn't have a weapon, the OP would be fucked.
A good rule of thumb for Michigans deadly force law is you have to prove your LIFE was in great danger. As in if you didn't use your deadly weapon your life would have been taken. It's not as easy as saying "He said he was going to kill me so I shot him can I leave now". No, your going to jail, then probably a long court ordeal, and pay for a lawyer blah blah blah.
That sucks man, I'm glad you and your girl got out okay. Smart move trying to get away from it.

Yeah, They are pretty close. I'm just gonna let it go for now, but I'm not hiding out, either. I would rather be out in the open and show that I won't be an easy target. If things escalate, then we might have to have a block party, so to speak. haha You know, just a non-violent "discussion".
Thanks, Matt. I was very concerned about my girl at the time, and my Grandmother after the fact. If it was one guy, no big deal, and I might have handled things differently, but with three, it was a bad situation that was only gonna get worse. The good news is that she used to be a EMT in some rough cities, so she knows how to handle things like that, as well as what to watch for. I knew she wasn't gonna get out for ANY reason, but still- their car with the two other guys in/around it was on her side. Another reason that I didn't waste any time hitting reverse. I'm kinda kicking myself for not paying closer attention to the two guys in the car....they had the drop on me.

Stuff like this always makes me worry about my girl and our kids. Even though we live in a very nice area, there are some wacko's out there. I worry a little every time they go out without me.
