Well then, work on each cylinder at a time.
Procedure:
When the intake valve is just starting close you adjust the exaust, and when the exaust valve is just starting to open you adjust the intake.
How to adjust:
Now on adjusting them its really simple. You roll the pushrod around with your fingers while tightening the rocker down slowly, once you feel alittle resistance on the pushrod you turn another 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
Thats how I have always done it on a hydraulic roller when I ran them.

ya i know that part but it seems like after i go through and do them all and lock the poly locks, turn the motor a few more times and they are all loose again.? dont the lifters need to pump up?

are they brand new lifters?
no they prob have about 300 miles or so on them

I've never had that issue before. Are you sure you are adjusting them at the right point on the camshaft?
If the lifters are draining you would hear tons of valve noise upon startups while they pumped back up.

it hasnt been fired yet. this is one of the last things before i can fire/drive it.

they might of drained from sitting.....i beleive you you will to keep readjusting them until the lifters are pumped up, I could be wrong. I love my pedestal's just bolt and go :lol:

How loose are they coming? Did you have the lifters laying out for awhile before re-installing them?
loose enough to take the rocker and swing it off on its side... they were out for a day or 2? but they where submerged in oil while they were sitting....

Try and prime the oil pump and see if they come up.
will do.... i have a side job that i have to get to after work and then the stang so it looks to be an all-nighter or close to it.:buds:
