has anyone ever used these "Cat Small block ford roller tip rockers,1.7 ratio"?if so,will i be fine useing them with edelbrock rpm heads with 202 valves and a b-303 cam on my stock 88 302 short block?heads have Dubble valve springs good for a little over a 600 lift cam and my cam is a 480 lift?

What are you meaning when you say fine? Piston to valve clearance? It should be fine but I would suggest checking to be safe. There is a conversion to figure out the lift of the cam with 1.7's as opposed to 1.6's, I dont know it. I am sure some one will chime in who does.

i have a set of 1.6 rockers im going to pick up friday.the 1.7s are sold so i cant get them now.thanks for the help:wink:
 
i dont think it will be good with 202s, if im not mistaken u have to have your pisonts flycut to accept the 202's to begin with ?

You better check ptv, usually the way to use 202s on a stock shortblock is with twisted wedges unless you fly cut pistons.
 
that really sucks.i got the heads for a good deal cause 1 needed to be fixed.i sent it out monday and just got it back yesterday and now i cant use them:mad: .if you guys know someone that has a set that dont have 202s thats willing to trade let me know.they have less than 500 miles on the valves,springs ect,ported by rhino racing and its stamped on both heads.why the one head was fixed was when a friend of mine built the motor he used the wrong pistons(hyperjunck pistons) and sprayed too much and he cracked a piston and the top ring came off and pitted the top of the head.i just got it back yesterday from the head shop and its fixed now and still has the tag on it.let me know they dont have to be ported as long as there in good shape.ill post them up with pics in the for sale section.
 
try and trade them for a twisted wedge head they will work. dont trade just sell them and buy some other heads so you dont have to worry about bent valves and shit like that. goodluck.
