You need to run a NON projected tip plug when you spray it. I personally run NON projected tip plugs all the time. Your gonna need to run a -8 on motor and a -9 on the bottle. NGK

do you have a part number for me.this is what that spark plug says
EXTRA COLD HEAT RANGE
RACING RESISTOR SPARK PLUG
14MMX 3/4 REACH
5/8 HEX
GASKET SEAT
SURFACE DISCHARGE
SOLID TERMINAL NUT

Damn, you must have gotten the new guy! I have ALWAYS had a great response from them.

OK rule of thumb is always run the coldest plus you can. On the street a projected tip will stay a bit cleaner, but i have run recessed without much issue as well
Recessed tip in the style you're looking for 14mm thread, 5/8 socket, 3/4 reach, gasket seat is 5671A -#

5 is a stock heat range 11 is colder I would start with 10's on spray and 8 on motor, maybe even a 9 on motor depending on cam profile.

For a projected tip on motor (never for spray) 5672A-# (8 or 9) Both sets of plugs have a relaively tight gap out of the box and don't take much or deform when gaging them to gaps for spray.

Always run the hottest plug you can, not the coldest. We make over 1,400hp and spray an additional 900hp in the engine on NGK -10's. 11's are to cold for us. It is a non projected tip -10. Engine compression is 14:1. -10's is what most of the guys in our classes run. Some spray 600hp and some spray 1,200hp. All engines are between 13 and 14:1 using -10 plugs. Use a non projected tip -8 on motor. If it still looks like its not hot enough then put a projected tip -8 in and take some timing out to start. Make some runs and check plugs, then add timing as needed.

i hope some of you guys will be at the track this year to show me what im looking for lol. hint hint teach me a little

In many converstations i've had with NGK, Monte Smith, and i believe even Steve Johnson chimed in said to run coldest then work your way up. If you run too hot of a plug to begin with and detonate it can cause issues right away, specially with stock block combos that can't handle a rattled piston.

Like everything else in this world thoug, there's more than one way to skin a cat.

Edit, reread and used comprehension skills...lol Yes run the hottest that works for your combo, this is great advice. But always start cold then work up. Using a 9 where you should have used a 10 could be disasturous.

There still plenty of winter left to READ. http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=26 Read and read in that thread. Pay attention to teh guys who are actually going fast, and 3 of the top dogs in Nitrous always chime in on that forum. There's tons of great info there. Just remember there's also bad with th egood. Reading and figuring out who the real experts are, and reading what they say will help you weed out the bad from the good. In tuning alone on a very small hit on a stock block 302 i gained over .3X changing nothin but my tune up. Everything i did i learned from months of reading, and making it work for me.
