Saturday Night Crash @ Milan

3 am your kidding !!!! reason number 10,000 why milan is bankrupt that race never should have happened lucky no one was killed

god that just seemed so inevitable! I wouldn't wanna take a 15 Second AWD car down that! Glad it wasnt worse.

Good job, Milan.

This is why you don't run stupid open comp on days like that so you're not running the real classes at 3am. Also, invest in a flame thrower trailer for the tractor, even the tracks here in TEXAS have flame throwers that get pulled out after dark to keep the track hot. Milan needs it just to keep the water off the track.

No surprise Milan is bankrupt with garbage management. This could have EASILY been avoided.

Great post! What are the other 9,999 and when was the last time you were there? Better yet when is the last time you race a car? How about the last time you raved a car at Milan? :bsjerk:

Why was I never informed they have rave's at Milan?! Is that what goes on around the big bon fires they have? Sounds like a good time to me, But I don't think that would mix well with racing.... Just my .02

Bonfire normally starts after the racing, from what I've been told. I never hang out long enough.

No, I thought it was stupid and dangerous at the time which is one of the reasons why I left at 1am.
We went 1.12 60 ft at 1:30 am and straight down the track! Was it really that bad? There had to be something in that right lane for diamond and the f body to get loose , somebody dropped the ball there but other than that track was killer!

1:30am is not 3:00am. No telling how much cooler the track was and what if any dew may have been present.
I'm not here to argue. Me.. Personally .. As a driver .. I would -not- have run my car that night. Maybe you stay glued down and run a PB .. Maybe you hit the wall. Not worth that sort of risk to me.
Even aside from the possible track conditions I think it's absolute BS to expect drivers to stay up until 3am to finish up a race. They could have called it at midnight and finished the next day or divided the pot based on driver input.

There absolutely was something in the right lane ...white foxbody running ultra street had a vapor trail behind the left tire ..right lane ..he was the last car down before diamond ..ask jason what his car did and his driveshaft speed did at 600 ft .. Rich bruder layed down a 4.60 around 2.30/2.45 ish ...the track was there ...I was standing on the starting when Diamond made his pass ...wasnt sitting in my house ...I was there you guys werent ..flame on ....
