Sad news for MotoGP/SBK fans

Sad situation for sure. :(

I live in the "country" with dirt roads that are a mess of pot holes. We have people that ride these roads all the time. I often want to stop and ask them why they are choosing to put their lives in the hands of idiots. These roads are a mess and most drive at or near the speed limit(55mph), there is no way I'd ever trust my life to the moron blasting over pot holes while texting or talking on their phones along with yelling at their kids in the back seat. I understand and agree they have every right to share the roads with us but I simply can not put that level of trust into the people driving cars. Do they not drive cars everyday and see how poor distracted people drive?? :shake:

I guess it just depends on the person. I feel safer on a bicycle than a motorcycle.
I rode my bicycle 26 miles today - and yes, I thought of & prayed for Nicky Hayden.

Not a bike vs motorcycle for me but track vs street. I feel safer racing at the the track with paramedics close by. Also no drivers texting on the track, no minivan parents not paying attention to the road let alone a motorcycle or bicycle.

Exactly. I know several people who run super bikes at the track and wouldn't even consider ridding down a public street. At the track you're all going in the same direction and you're wearing a ton of safety equipment. Helmet, full leather body suit, gloves, etc. Anything can happen anywhere but I'd rather take my chances at a track.

Put this on the car today
