My father drives a 2002 2wd Chevrolet S10. The truck has about 71,000 miles on it. At about 40,000 miles he got new tires on the truck from Sears. I believe the tires are Michilens (spelling?). The rear tires seem to be fine with very little wear. On the front tires some of the edges on the treads blocks are slightly raised up. While going down the road the tires make a fair amount of noise. My father decided to go back to Sears to see if they would do something about the tires. They told the tires are cupped from the front shocks being to soft. The truck drives fine to me. I drove the truck to Ohio a couple of weeks ago. It was about 300 miles round trip mostly on I-75. My only real issue was the tire noise. One thing my father said is that he has never rotated the tires, because they are radials (I believe he is wrong). So would lack of tire rotation cause cupping? Or could the front shocks be the cause even though the truck drive fine?
