Rush hour in Atlanta has now entered the 18th hour....

Atlanta is learning:

and why aren't you out there drifting the hell out of the roads?

no but seriously, that looks like a dusting of FROST, not snow.

yep raleigh shut down. .......Let me just say I have never in my life seen SO many people make such bad driving decisions in my life. Its worse that watching Danica Patrick drive!!!!

This can't be. I was just driving in Monroe County where there's maybe 3 inches of snow on the ground. I saw 2 stuck Mustangs getting pushed and 1 bad accident. My understanding was that Northerners knew how to drive in the snow. Maybe I magically got transported back to the south? Can't be though. I wasn't driving on massive hills with a million other cars with a tiny fraction of snow plows compared to population. Guess this storm snuck up on the area because there was only 2 days warning.

so you was a total of 3 people having trouble, two of which were in a "sports" cars, and are comparing it to this?

According to all the Northerners with their mouths open about it, it's comparable. They all drive in 25 foot snow drifts with 800 hp rwd super cars and motorcycles. Fact is, in an area that has had record snowfall, you'd think people were smart enough to not drive their sports cars in the snow or be better prepared than an area of the country which sees snow once ever 3 to 5 years.

Funny thing is that when it snows down in Atlanta, the fruits, eggs, milk, veggies, and bread disappear. I was just in a Kroger, and the only thing bare was the chip aisle. Which was oddly enough what I was after. Had to go to Meijer.

Here in Raleigh its just eggs, Bread and Milk.........apparently everyone LOVES french toast when it snows down here.......

On another note. I did have several neighbors ask me to drive them to various places....because I have had "Training" in driving through snow... LOL!!

That's because we all realize the world isn't ending every time some snow falls.
