Rush hour in Atlanta has now entered the 18th hour....

I am laughing pretty hard at the snow machine pic...

Im in Eastern North Carolina and our Marine Corps Air Station has been shut down since tuesday because of snow. Wellllllllllll that 2 inches of snow that we got is now 2 inches of compact ice. They have graders running down US 70 "plowing" snow. They have not hit ANY side streets and have NO salt. They military vehicles have spread some sand on base tho.

I think it is because they simply dont know how to deal with snow/ice removal.
 
How do you budget for something that probably isn't going to happen every year?

I grew up in northcentral
WI and lived in the U.P. for 5 years. Now I live in metro Detroit. Snow is snow...ice is ice, so I don't know what you mean by "completely different style of weather".
I've lived in it my whole 43 years on this planet and one thing is the same...people are idiots...regardless of their origin.

Wrong wording. The preparation and implementation is different.

LOL I was kidding. My buddy went to school up there and use to send me pictures out the window.. Or lack of a window.

I know you were. And yes, I've seen some snowfalls that seemed impossible. Leave for a weekend and come back to snow up to your chest.
